EFax representatives are available for instant chat 12 hours a day.

As a company with a significant subscriber base -- 11 million worldwide -- the Internet fax service eFax is prepared for the inevitability of account cancellation requests. In attention to the likelihood of such requests, eFax offers customers three ways by which to contact the company and terminate subscriptions. Customers who prefer to handle their business online can use the instant chat feature or email form to request account cancellation, while customers who would rather close their accounts over the phone can call the 24-hour customer service line.

Instructions

    • 1

Navigate to the main page of the eFax website, efax.com.

    • 2

      Click the tab labeled "Contact."

    • 3

Click "Chat With an Online Representative" under the customer service section. Pop-up windows must be allowed on the browser in order to use the chat feature.

    • 4

Type the request for cancellation into the chat box once connected with a customer service representative. Outside of normal operating hours, 6 a.m to 6 p.m. Pacific time, representatives are not available online, but emails can be sent to customer service through the chat window.

    • 5

Contact eFax customer service at 323-817-3205 if you prefer to cancel your account by phone. Representatives are available at this number 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

    • 6

Click "Contact Support" under the customer service section of the contact page if you are unable to request account cancellation by phone or online chat. Fill out all required information -- including the eFax number in question -- and ask for the account to be closed. Alternately, email eFax directly at help@mail.efax.com.

    • 7

Look for an email from eFax confirming the account closure. If written confirmation is not received within 24 hours, check back with customer service to verify that the cancellation was processed.
