You don’t need the saavy you just need to be able to follow the simple steps
The first step is the easiest you probably already have a yahoo e-mail account so sit down with your phone book and to start sign in to your yahoo mail click your contacts tab click add a contact (you may want to go ahead and add a categoty like sms contacts or cell phone contact this is helpful but unnessary) you then want to click the little box that says add to messenger contacts. Now sign into messenger or chat & you are ready to go. Remember to let your fiends know to reply just click reply sending and receiving messages requires no online service through your cell phone carrier. Just be aware that sending messages from yahoo is known as sms texting not all cell phone companies allow sms texts so if you attempt to send a message to a friend and it does not work then move on to step two. -

text'em logoStep two is another simple step type http://www.textem.net into your address bar . while it is not nessecary for you to have a text’em account to send messages it is for you to receive them so keep your phonebook next to you because after you create your text’em account click on the ‘my contacts’ tab you’ll see a place to type in name phone number and you will also need to know which wireless carrier your friend is using. Be sure to let them know they can respond by clicking reply. Sometimes text’em has some bugs which brings us to step three.
