Have you ever had your computer tech tell you that you should back up your registry but you never bothered to do it? Here's a way that will let you do it automatically, every time you boot!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • ERUNT Registry Backup Tool (http://www.snapfiles.com/get/erunt.html)
  1. Step 1

GO to http://www.snapfiles.com/get/erunt.html and download ERUNT Registry backup tool. This will allow you to backup your registry every time you boot.

  2. Step 2

Install ERUNT on your personal computer (or all of them for that matter). When prompted to put an entry for ERUNT in your startup folder, says Yes. This will let ERUNT backup your registry for you every time you start.

  3. Step 3

Launch ERUNT, and designate teh folder where you want to backup your Registry to. Make sure you remember where it is, because you'll have to go there to restore if your computer's registry is later corrupted.

  4. Step 4

Backup your Registry! Every time you boot, from now on, you will know that you have a backup of your Registry just in case something happens. And, if something does, you can go to the folder where you backed up your Registry, and run ERUNT to make it right again!

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure you set ERUNT as a startup program, so you can forget all about it!
  • This may slow down your boot time, but only marginally. It's well worth the second or two of backup!
