How to write a good letter of resignation

    If you need to write a letter of resignation there are a few things to keep in mind. You do not want to point out any of the reasons you are dissatisfied with your job. This will insure the fact that they will not give you a good reference in the future. Make sure to point out the things that you liked at the job you are leaving.

  2. Step 2

    When giving a reason for leaving state that better opportunities have appeared and you are looking into the future and think that the job that you are going to will give you those opportunities. Be careful not to sound as if you were not offered opportunities there. If you do not have health insurance at the job you are leaving but at the new job you can use this as a reason.

  3. Step 3

    Also in this day and time a salary increase means everything most jobs will not hold this against you. Or if the new job is closer to home they will be understanding. Be sure to thank them for allowing you to work at there place of employment and the opportunities that have been given to you. Remember that someday you may want to return or need them for a reference.
