Make an Easy Webpage!
Make an Easy Webpage!

If making a webpage seems intimidating to you, don't worry, because you're not alone. In fact, so many people had difficult making their own webpages that some companies decided to make it easier. Much easier, in fact. Now, making your own webpage can be as easy as pressing a couple of buttons.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A good webhosting company that offers one click installs, like Dreamhost (see resource section)
  1. Step 1

To make an easy webpage, the first thing you should do is register a domain name. Fortunately, with the company listed below in the resource section, you can do this for free. Find a unique name that is not taken, and you'll be in business making your website in minutes.

  2. Step 2

Then go ahead and sign up for webhosting. You can do this at the same place that you registered your domain name. Since domain hosting is very competitive, you won't have to pay very much at all.

  3. Step 3

To make an easy webpage, choose a hosting company that will give you good customer service. That way, if you have any "dumb" questions, they'll be nice about it, and get back with you immediately with an explanation that makes sense. My favorite company even has an option that says, "Explain things to me very, very carefully." Love it!

  4. Step 4

If you want to make an easy webpage, choosing a hosting company with one click installs is an absolute must. What this means is that once you've paid the hosting fee and picked out a domain name, all you'll have to do is click on what you want (a blog, a shopping environment, standard web page, etc.) and it will be installed. My company does this in under five minutes, so I can literally register a domain and have it up and running in ten.

Tips & Warnings
  • One click installs usually come with templates, which mean that the website is already designed. All you have to do is put in the photos and text. There is no coding required.
