Starting a new diet can be difficult if someone has never changed their eating habits before. But here is how to make changing your diet a little easier.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Don't try to change your diet instantly.
One of the best ways to change your eating habits is to ease your way into it. If you drink 6 or 7 sodas a day, it is a good idea to just try lowering the number before taking it completely out of your diet. It is much more realistic to go from 7 sodas a day to 5, instead of 7 to 0. This will also give you something to constantly work for.

  2. Step 2

    Do not starve yourself.
Many people believe being thin is beautiful and will do anything to look a certain way. There is nothing wrong with desiring a certain look but if you are harming your body to get to it, it can be very dangerous. It is important to eat, just watch what you eat. For example, instead of having fried chicken for dinner have grilled. Small and simple changes can really start show in the way you look and feel.

  3. Step 3

    Cutting out saturated fats.
There essential fats the body needs and then there is the type that turns directly into fat. These are called saturated fats. It is okay to eat some of these, but try to look at the nutritional value on each package of food you are eating. This will also help you keep track of the amount of calories and fats you are eating. It might be a good idea to keep a list of your daily amounts, to see if you need to adjust.
