Things You'll Need:
- Adwords Account
- Affiliate Account
-
Step 1
Unlike Adsense, Google Adwords is not about getting the most traffic to your ads. It's about getting small amounts of very targeted traffic to your ads. You have to pay good money to get people to click on it and you don't want to waste that money on poor traffic. Build specific ads to make sure that you attract your targeted audience.
-
Step 2
Build multiple ads to emphasize your keywords. An ad that has a whole lot of keywords attached to it is going to earn a lot less than a group of specific ads. As customers, people tend to click on links that most closely represent their search.
-
Step 3
Don't pay too much for your keywords. You can always have the top position if you are willing to shell out enough money. The problem with this is that you probably won't make any money this way and you might even lose some. You cost to earnings ratio won't support the high price for your keywords.
-
Step 4
Don't pay too little for keywords. If you pay too little for keywords, your ad will end up in the last page of sponsored ads and the people that actually find it won't be the type of people that you want to attract to your affiliate website.
-
Step 5
Diversify. Play around with different ideas. Creating effective Google Adwords ads can be tricky and you won't strike gold with your first try.
-
Step 6
Utilize the Google Adwords keyword tool. This tool will tell you how much traffic a keyword receives on a monthly basis, how much competition it has, and how much people are paying for top positions.
