So you thought you'd look good in bangs, huh? Yeah, me too. Fortunately, there are far more things you can do with a bad haircut than a bad dye job.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Assorted hair clips, bobby pins and headbands
  1. Step 1

Sometimes the problem is that the hairstylist just cut a little too much hair, and the bangs are thick and heavy rather than wispy. If your bangs are so thick that your hair looks wiglike, try pulling back the hair on the sides of your face, or pull it into a ponytail. You may like the look more with less hair overwhelming your face.

  2. Step 2

If you still think your bangs are too heavy, you can pull up the top layer of the bangs and pin it back with bobby pins, or secure it with a headband. This will thin the amount of hair on your forehead and it will look more wispy.

  3. Step 3

If you still hate the look, you're going to have to resort to pulling them back completely while your bangs are still above your eyes. Bobby pins, headbands, hair clips---if you switch it up you'll look more "stylish" and less "regrettable haircut."

  4. Step 4

Once the bangs are past the corner of your eye, you can try giving them a side part and sweeping them to the side. You may need to flatiron them to keep them in place with the new part.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you need to flatiron the hair, go easy. Use a protective spray and try to skip a few days. If you damage the hair too much it'll break off and you'll have to go through the grow-out process again.
