1. Find out how big your file or program is by right-clicking on the icon and selecting "Properties." The file size will be listed on the "General" tab on the screen that pops up. You can also access this information by double-clicking on the file or program to open it and then clicking on "Settings" followed by "File Information." You will need this information for the next steps.

2. Go on the Internet and search for a bandwidth calculator or estimator. Just type "bandwidth calculator" into a Google search.

3. Put the information you found on your programs into the calculator.

4. Try another calculator. If the first one does not give you what you want, try another. It may be helpful to check other sites also so you have a better idea of the bandwidth needs.
