Things You'll Need:
- Vacuum attachments
- Broom or mop
- Air hose
- Scissors
- Water hose
-
Step 1
Detach all attachments from the vacuum and lay them out. Take apart any long attachments that are made from separate pieces.
-
Step 2
Use the handle of a broom or mop to push clogged debris out of the hose attachments.
-
Step 3
Use an air hose to blast out dirt and debris from the attachments. This works well with small attachments that a broom handle will not fit inside.
-
Step 4
Turn the brush attachment so you can see underneath. Cut debris and hair loose, and replace the attachment if it is worn out or broken.
-
Step 5
Spray out plastic vacuum attachments, such as hoses, with a water hose. Allow them to dry completely before using them again.
