How to Put a Video in a Sony MP3 Walkman

In the relatively short amount of time it took the MP3 player to overtake the CD player as the portable music player of choice for many people, the technology has taken off even further. No longer are MP3 players simply music players. Today, most MP3 players--including Sony's line of MP3 Walkman--are now portable video players as well. And thanks to the comprehensive software that accompanies the players, uploading movies, home video clips and TV shows to your MP3 player is as easy as adding your favorite music.

Instructions

  1. How to Put a Video in a Sony MP3 Walkman

    • 1

Connect your MP3 player to your computer using the supplied USB cable. The cable hooks into the bottom of the player, with the Sony Walkman symbol, which looks like a W, facing upward.

    • 2

Open Windows Media Player on your computer. If your MP3 player is connected properly, the media player will display "WALKMAN" in its menu. This is where you place your video files.

    • 3

Locate the video file you want to put on your MP3 player and select it by clicking on it with your computer's mouse.

    • 4

Once the video is selected, "drag" the video across the media player to the "WALKMAN" display on the player.

    • 5

When the "WALKMAN" display lights up, release the mouse to "drop" the video into your MP3 player's video file.

    • 6

Repeat the process to place additional videos.
