Air ducts are vents that are in every building, house and apartment to help provide clean air throughout the place. Periodically these ducts will need to be cleaned out especially if there is dust or dirt on the outside of the air ducts. To prevent growth of mold and mildew as well as breathing in dust it is recommended to get the ducts cleaned out every three to four years. Because every home and business needs clean air to breathe, an air duct cleaning company is a great way to make money.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

Learn about cleaning ducts. Know when the ducts need cleaning and when they need to be fixed. For example, if there is a leak then it will need to be fixed as opposed to just cleaning.

  2. Step 2

Get all of the equipment you will need for an air duct cleaning company. You will need a vacuum that will be used to clean the ducts. There are two kinds of vacuums used, one attached to a vehicle and the other is portable. Also make sure to have brushes of various sizes to be able to reach high into the ducts and small ones that make it easy to clean around the edges of the ducts.

  3. Step 3

Determine the location of the air duct cleaning company. Look for a high volume of traffic near other companies such air conditioning specialists that will help increase your business by recommending you to their customers. Avoid a location that has another air duct company nearby.

  4. Step 4

Promote your air duct company. Develop a website along with mailing out fliers and discounts. List your services on your website and on the fliers to help get the word out of what type of services your company offers.

  5. Step 5

Be flexible by offering other services alongside cleaning air ducts. For instance, you can offer filtration and sealing ducts, which should increase demand for your company over other air duct cleaning companies that only clean ducts.
