Multiply the temperature in Celsius by 1.8 or 9/5. For this example, 50 multiplied by 1.8 equals 90.

Add 32 to the number obtained in Step 2 to determine the original temperature's value in Fahrenheit. For this example, the sum of 90 and 32 is 122. Therefore, 50 degrees Celsius is equal to 122 degrees Fahrenheit.
