Things You'll Need:
- Mold remover
- Soft-bristle brush
- Rag
- Hand towel
-
Step 1
Purchase a mold remover, such as MoldZyme or Concrobium Mold Control, from a local retail store.
-
Step 2
Mist the windowsill with the mold remover.
-
Step 3
Scrub the mold with a soft-bristle brush. This could include a horsehair or baby brush. Use a circular motion on the molded area. Scour the sill thoroughly with the brush. Use additional mold cleaner if the area starts to dry.
-
Step 4
Run a rag under hot water. Rub down the windowsill. This will remove the cleaner and the remaining mold.
-
Step 5
Dry with towel. Do not leave the windowsill moist as this can cause mold or mildew to recur.
