Putting on muscle and weight can be hard for some individuals, especially considering that protein shakes tend not to taste too good. The following protein shake is packed with protein--and the taste of fresh strawberries and bananas will definitely keep you feeling full and satisfied for hours.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Protein powder
  • Low-fat milk
  • Organic strawberries
  • Organic bananas
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 scoop low-calorie vanilla ice cream or yogurt
  • Peanut butter
  • Ice
  • Blender
  1. Step 1

Add 2 cups of ice to one scoop of vanilla ice cream or vanilla yogurt. Use low-calorie ice cream if possible.

  2. Step 2

Separate the yolk from the egg white and add the egg white. Next, mix in one spoonful of peanut butter with one scoop of protein powder. Blend it together well.

  3. Step 3

Clean and chop the strawberries into small pieces. Peel two bananas and slice into pieces. Add both fruits to the mixture and blend well.

  4. Step 4

Add 8 oz. of reduced-fat or low-fat milk to the blended mixture and mix together for 30 seconds until there is a smooth consistency. Enjoy with a class of water. Protein can be a sticky substance for your intestines to absorb; water can help with the digestion of the smoothie.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure that the ingredients, especially the protein powder, are blended really well throughout the mixture.
  • This is a great way to get a full, healthy protein meal for the day, especially if you are doing rigorous exercising or engaging in strenuous physical activities.
