Pork shish kebabs

Delicious pork shish kebab recipe using a beer barbecue sauce as a marinade.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2-2 ½ Pounds boneless pork
  • 1 Large red or green pepper
  • 1 Small red or white onion
  • 1 Small package button mushrooms
  • 1 Small package grape tomatoes
  • Barbecue sauce (homemade or store bought)
  • Honey
  • Beer (any kind but light)
  • Spices
  • Skewers
  1. Step 1

Cut up enough boneless pork for each shish kebab to have three pieces on it. Cut the pork into 1x1 inch cubes and set aside. Slice the red pepper and red onion into 1x1 inch pieces and set aside.

  2. Step 2

To make the barbecue sauce, add to a medium size bowl; ½ cup barbecue sauce, ¼ cup honey, 1/3 cup beer; season with garlic salt, pepper, dried rosemary or whatever spices you choose. Mix all ingredients together well.

  3. Step 3

Place the cubed pork, red pepper, red onion, mushrooms and tomatoes in the barbecue mixture and allow to marinade for about an hour. After marinating for an hour, take one of the skewers and start adding the cubed pork, red pepper, red onion, mushrooms and tomatoes onto the skewer in that order until you reach the desired amount of shish kebabs.

  4. Step 4

Place on a hot grill and cook for about ten minutes, turn, cook for ten more minutes or until pork is no longer pink and juices run clear.
