How to make delicious sweet and sour meatballs

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 3 1/2 cups tomato juice
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon onion salt
  1. Step 1

    In a large mixing bowl you will need to combine the eggs, bread crumbs, and salt. You will need to finely chop the medium onion and add this to the mixture. Crumble your beef over the mixture and mix well. Shape into 2 inch balls. In a large skillet you will brown the meatballs. You will add the vegetable oil to you skillet this will help in the browning of the meatballs.

  2. Step 2

    In a saucepan you will start your sauce to do this you will need to add your tomato juice, brown sugar, sugar, vinegar, and onion salt. You will need to bring this to a boil over medium heat. Stirring until all ingredients are dissolved. You will then sit this to the side until you are done browning all of the meatballs.

  3. Step 3

    Once all the meatballs are done place in a baking dish and cover with the sauce. You will bake uncovered at 350 degrees for forty to forty five minutes or until the meat is no longer pink. These are a tasty spin on the ordinary meatball. Hope that you enjoy this recipe as much as we have.
