On average a date, which includes dinner, two cocktails and a movie with popcorn and two drinks will cost approximately $75.00. If you are budgeting your money this date would be unnecessary spending. There is no reason for you to stop dating; however, you will need to change your dating routine. Here are some tips on how to plan a budget for dating.

  1. Step 1

    Determine your budget. If there is any money left over after all the monthly bills have been paid out, then this money would represent your dating budget. Based on this budget you will be able to plan a date.

  2. Step 2

    Purchase a newspaper. Read the lifestyle section. Look for special events, such as an art festival, music in the park, or a craft and design show. Most of these events are free or have an inexpensive gate fee. Budget your money by utilizing free activities in your hometown.

  3. Step 3

    Take your date on an adventure by driving to a neighboring city. Travel no more than an hour away from your hometown. Choose a destination that offers scenery as well as activities that you can do on foot. Sightseeing, estate sales, window-shopping, or exploring nature trails are things that you can do that are interesting.

    By planning your date, you have managing your money. The total cost of your date including gas is approximately $40.00.

  4. Step 4

    Pack a picnic lunch for two include sandwiches, fresh fruit, lemonade, napkins, paper cups, and table cloth Find a table under a shady tree in a city park and enjoy a light lunch for two. Relax after lunch. Play a game of cards or communicate with each other. Use this time to get to know each other. Budget your money and spend approximately $15.00 on this date.
