Things You'll Need:
- Standard, blank (white, off-white or colored) fold over note cards
- Various and assorted stickers to arrange on the blank note cards
- Monogrammed, linen stationery for formal occasions
- Pads or informal stationery
- Holiday stationery
-
Step 1
select stickers for added effectStarting your stationery wardrobe is simple. Find a package of white or colored, fold-over notes with envelopes at a local craft store. Pick up several packs of stickers that look like fun or that you could use on your blank cards to bring some character to them. With the people you will be sending cards to in mind, make your selections and know you are on your way to building a nice stationery wardrobe.
-
Step 2
monogram it!Adding monogrammed, embossed, or initialed fold-over cards and/or sheets of stationery will afford you the formal stationery that you would use for situations where you are expressing sympathy or want to make an impression on your recipient.
-
Step 3
send someone some sunshine!Obtain several, more informal, types of stationery to add to your wardrobe. This might include whimsical memo pads, something with your initial on it or whatever sparks your interest when you are stationery shopping. You will use these to write informal letters or let people know you are thinking of them. You cannot lose here, whatever you choose, so long as you put it to use, is sure to make someone's day!
-
Step 4
holiday stationeryPick up some holiday correspondence, either packets of holiday-designed paper for hand-written or computer-generated notes; be certain to personalize these notes with either photos or brief, hand-written messages as well as personally signing the note. You are on your way to building a well-stocked, personal stationery wardrobe. You will never be at a loss for something to write on when you have something to say!
