Knitting a sweater

Knitting is a relaxing hobby that can be enjoyed anywhere. The knitting of most patterns--a sweater, knitted hat or doll--requires a combination of the knit and purl stitch. This is referred to in knitting instructions as the stockinette stitch. This article assumes you already know how to knit both the knit and purl stitch.
