How to Download Music to the Samsung Slider Cell Phone
The Samsung Slider cell phone is predominantly used by AT&T mobile customers. It is an enhanced multimedia cellular device equipped with available amenities for mobile entertainment. Downloading music to the Samsung Slider cell phone is a common task you can do easily. All you need is the cell phone's USB sync cable and your computer, and your music can be downloaded and transferred to the cell phone within minutes.

Place the cell phone's micro memory card into the phone if it is not already inserted. Open the phone's micro memory card slot, located along the right side of the cell phone. Place the card into the slot with the gold prongs facing down.

Connect the cell phone to your computer. Plug the Samsung Slider's USB sync cable into the phone itself and the computer's available USB port. Once the connection is detected, the cell phone's software driver will be installed to your computer automatically. The AutoPlay window will open, showing the actions that can be taken for the cell phone.

Choose an action in the AutoPlay window. Select "Open Folder to View Files." When the folder opens in Windows Explorer, click on the cell-phone's icon in the left pane of the window. Click on the "My Documents" folder and select the "Music" folder within the collapse menu. This folder should currently be empty. Your downloaded music will be placed in this folder to be transferred to the phone.

Open your computer's downloaded music folder. Click on the Start icon to access its drop-down menu. When the menu opens, click on the "Music" tab folder. When the window opens, your downloaded music should be stored in this folder.

Transfer the downloaded music to your Samsung Slider. Hold down the CTRL key on the computer's keyboard. Using your computer's mouse, click once on each downloaded music file that you would like to transfer. Once you have chosen your music files, all of them should be highlighted. Drag the highlighted music files to the Samsung Slider's music folder window. The music files will then appear in the Samsung Slider's music folder window where they will now be saved on your cell phone's memory card.

Disconnect the cell phone from the computer. Unplug the Samsung Slider's USB cable from the cell phone itself and the computer once all of the downloaded music files have been successfully transferred.

Tips & Warnings
This method is recommended for downloading music to your Samsung Slider. This type of transfer can be done free of charge. If you choose to download directly from your carrier, click on the online manual link in the Additional Resources section below.
Make sure your memory card is inserted into the cell phone before you attempt to download any music to it. Your cell phone's hard-drive space alone is not big enough to hold a large amount of music files. If you choose to download music directly from your cell phone carrier, be aware that there will be a charge for each individual music file you download. In most cases, this charge is $1.99 for each download. The music must be downloaded and stored to your computer before you attempt to transfer to the cell phone. If it is not, you cannot complete the transfer.
