Things You'll Need:
- Plywood (approximately 42 x 18 inches, 1 inch thick) Thick-walled PVC pipe, 6-inch diameter Saw Nails Hammer
-
Step 1
Cut the plywood into three pieces, with your cuts coming across the shorter side of the wood. You will want one piece wide enough to stand with your legs at a comfortable distance apart (approximately 36 inches) and two thinner pieces of equal size with the remaining wood.
-
Step 2
Cut the PVC pipe so that is the same length as the short side of your plywood.
-
Step 3
Nail one of the shorter boards to the bottom of the large piece of plywood, flush with one short edge of the larger board. The smaller board should be as wide as the larger board and will serve to keep the pipe from shooting from under the board when in use. Be sure the nails are long enough to firmly secure the smaller board, but not long enough to pass out the bottom of the smaller board.
-
Step 4
Repeat Step 3 for the second smaller board, nailing it to the opposite bottom edge of the larger board so that both sides of the board have guard boards.
-
Step 5
Place the PVC pipe under the board, with the guard rails facing down, and stand with your feet on either side of the pipe. Balance without either side of the board touching the ground to use your balance board.
