Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

    Common Fixes

  1. Step 1

Make sure the length of your playlist is no longer than the length of the disc. Most CD-Rs can store 80 minutes; compare disc capacity with the "total time" at the bottom of your iTunes playlist.

  2. Step 2

Lower the burn speed. A dialogue box appears after you click "Burn Disc." You can select a "Preferred Speed" as low as 1x.

  3. Step 3

Close other programs. Don't forget to quit unnecessary programs in the notification area of the task bar.

  4. Step 4

If necessary, shut down your computer and let it completely cool down. Try burning the disc when the computer boots up again.
