There are many scams on the internet that advertise work at home and make millions of dollars. Here are a few tips on how to recognize the internet companies that might be a scam.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

The first thing you need to look at is this a real work from home opportunity or is it a scam. You would not want to get involved in something that takes allot of your time and turn out to be a scam. There are different internet organizations that you can check with to make sure. You can check with the BBB Better Business Bureau or with the FTC Federal Trade Commission.I filed a complaint and this is how the response looks. Your complaint has been entered into Consumer Sentinel, a secure online database available to thousands of civil and criminal law enforcement agencies worldwide.

  2. Step 2

The Better Business Bureau will have a list of scam internet work from home companies listed. The BBB has local branches in almost every state the you can contact. A true work from home business will have a address and most of the time a phone number for support and questions. They also will have a working email address. If your looking at a work from home internet business and something does not feel right then go with your gut instinct and avoid them. You should be careful about paying any fees before they set you up in business this is usually a indicator that its a scam.

  3. Step 3

Never give out any personal information and if they ask for money up front be very careful about using your credit card until you are sure they are a legitimate internet company. If the work from home business is promising millions of dollars a year its probably a scam.Remember if it sounds to good to be true it probable isn't. Make sure the phone numbers are working and not disconnected. The company I am after owes me $250.00 in affiliate commissions over the last couple months and none of their phone number are any good. If they promise you affiliate commissions for selling the products of a famous person through a third party make sure to check it out thoroughly. There are many great work from home companies such as Sharasale,Commision Juction,Clickbank that are not scams those are the ones you need to find.
