Now that you've made the smart choice of embellishing your kitchen with sleek, timeless, stainless steel appliances, sinks and accents. To enhance the beauty and prolong the promised longevity of your stainless steel, don't forget to make it a habit to do a daily/weekly touch up cleaning which is necessary to enhance their beauty and prolong their promised longevity. There is no need to purchase expensive 'designer' cleaners for your stainless steel, just keep it simple with these steps.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • liquid dish soap
  • soft rags
  • baby oil
  1. Step 1

Using a soft cloth, wipe down daily or when needed with a mild dish washing soap and warm water to cut any grease and grime.

  2. Step 2

Go over again with plain water to remove any soap from step one

  3. Step 3

Use a soft cloth or towel to completely dry the surface.

  4. Step 4

The final touch is to use baby oil on a soft cloth, gently buffing the surface of your sink or appliance. This will take away any streaks or fingerprints in a snap.

  5. Step 5

The baby oil enhances the satin shine of any stainless surface and protects against further spills, making clean-up much easier.

Tips & Warnings
  • Any generic baby oil brand will work just fine.
  • Keep a separate soft rag for use with the baby oil application under the sink or nearby for a quick shine touch-up.
  • Never use bleach, ammonia or abrasive cleaners on stainless steel.
