People struggle with being positive throughout the day. They aren't sure what to say. Thinking in the wrong way can create a bad day as well. Positive affirmations help boost up your day, and clear your mind to focus.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Positive thinking
  1. Step 1

Stop making negative thoughts. "I can't do this!" "I'll never make it!" "He hurt me." "I'll never have enough money!" "They always have more." If you think like that - Stop! Turn those words around into positive words, and affirmations. Stop and visualize something good. See the money flowing in your hands. See yourself as strong, and confident.

  2. Step 2

Take some time out for yourself. Just stand where ever you are. Breath in, and out. Try and avoid thinking of the future, and instead think of the now! Leave out words such as - "I will be", "Maybe one day." or "He will love me."

  3. Step 3

Turn the future words into now words such as "I am wealthy, and successful." "I am loved, and cherished." "I am healthy."

  4. Step 4

If you have problems coming up with words - use a online dictionary, such as rhymezone.com. Or you can visit google and type in Define:Affirmation. When you visit a online dictionary, look and see what it offers. Most of them have "find synonyms", or "find related words". Type in the word happy, and see what comes up. Right away the word blessed appears. You have a powerful affirmation just with that word alone. "I am blessed."

  5. Step 5

Once you have your affirmations down write them in a notebook, and repeat them allowed everyday. Believe in the words you say. Sometimes it might be hard having faith in your affirmation but the more you repeat it, the easier it'll get, and you'll start seeing results. The great thing with affirmations is that it doesn't have to always be religious. If you're not into religion - don't use religious words. Just think positive with the affirmation. Anyone can do this, and it's a great thing for children, and teens to learn.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you find yourself trying to focus, and nothing works, move around some, and do other things. After that come back to it. Don't get discouraged when trying to write about being positive!
  • Never put someone down for their affirmation. It might seem silly to one person, but to that other person it could make a major difference.
