Check Your Verizon Cell Phone Voicemail Messages From Another Phone

If your cell phone is out of operation, or if for some other reason you need to check the voice mail on your Verizon cell phone from another phone, it can be done quite easily. This tutorial will tell you step by step how to easily and quickly retrieve your Verizon cell phone voice mail messages from another phone besides your cell phone.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • a Verizon cell phone account with set up voice mail box
  • another phone to call your cell from
  • your voice mail passcode (if set up)
  1. Step 1

Call your Verizon cell phone number from the phone that you will be using.
    (i.e. 111-222-3345)

  2. Step 2

Allow the phone to ring until your answering machine picks up.
As soon as the answering machine comes on (you do not have to wait for it to finish speaking), press the # key on phone you are calling from.

  3. Step 3

The recording will say "Please enter your password, then press #/pound".
Enter you 4 digit password, and then dial #.
    (i.e. 1-2-3-4-#)

  4. Step 4

Follow the recorded prompts to proceed and check your voice mail messages as normal.

Tips & Warnings
  • The default passcode or password for your voice mail box is the last 4 digit of your cell phone number, which will be the set passcode if you have not changed it yourself.
  • Although this how-to specifically pertain to Verizon cell phones, the steps are very similar or the same for other cell phone providers.
