Make friends with people living in co-ops, fraternities, apartments and dorms. These are the gold mines for cans and bottles. Find out which groups are having the most parties.

  2. Step 2

Ask your friends if you can collect all the cans and bottles after their parties to recycle. Most of the time they will be happy to let you clean up their mess of a house for them. Bring bags and pick pack up all the recyclables.

  3. Step 3
    Cash in!

    Cash in!

Transport your recyclables down to a recycling center. Look around for the best rates. Some places will give you 5 cents per small can or bottle and 10 cents per 2-Liter bottle. Cash those puppies in and you'll have a cool amount of spending money

Tips & Warnings
  • Develop weekly routine pickups at the different places you find to have the highest build up of cans and bottles.
