There are so many free Chicago activities to participate in. Free fitness classes are some of them. Do yoga downtown Chicago. Why not? It's free at Millennium Park from 8am-9am every Saturday. Moksha Yoga is also free on Sundays from 3:30-5pm.
Like pilates even more? Yep, they have free classes too. Go on over to their website and see if it is within your area.

For people with children, Chicago and its surrounding suburbs have free reading programs. Reading programs are wonderful because they keep children's mind active. These programs oftentimes reward children with fun prizes and goodies that keep them motivated to read!
Pay close attention to your community events and local community college as well. They always seem to have children's show either for free or a small fee. The best shows I have seen so far were put on at community college, so don't pass those fun opportunities up.
