Clean Under a Dental Bridge

A dental bridge can be a great asset in restoring the appearance of having all of your teeth in addition to making eating a much easier process without the holes and gaps. Like any dental work, a dental bridge can be costly and time consuming to install, so by the time it's in place it's more than worth it to take the best care of it as possible. Instructions

  1. Several Methods for Cleaning Under a Dental Bridge

    • 1

Brush thoroughly around the bridge to prevent plaque from building up around it, which makes it harder to clean. Use a toothpaste that has tarter prevention and brush thoroughly in small circular motions.

    • 2

Use a dental floss threader to get the dental floss in between the teeth and slide it in a front and back motion underneath the bridge to loosen any particles of food that may have become lodged there.

    • 3

Rinse the area well with clean water and spit out any loosened debris before it can get back underneath the bridge.

    • 4

Use Listerine to keep the area clean. It can also help to get into the areas that may otherwise be hard to reach. Swish the Listerine around for a full minute before spitting it out.

Tips & Warnings

  • Brush your teeth, including the bridge, twice daily. Floss at least once a day.
