How to Naturally Unclog a Sink Drain

Sinks can clog up and get you frustrated, but easily unclogging a sink without chemicals is the right way to go. With only the tools of water, baking soda and vinegar your clogged sink will be clogged no more!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1
    Your materials.

    Take your baking soda and vinegar and go to your clogged sink. Pour baking soda around the drain area. The baking soda should slightly go down the drain and clump up. That means the gunge is clumped with baking soda. You want this effect to happen.

  2. Step 2

    Start pouring vinegar on the baking soda it starts to fizz wildly. In a few seconds you should hear glugging and draining noises. That means the gunge is wearing away and your sink is unclogging. Water should start to go down the drain.

  3. Step 3
    Cold Water to Flush Down Formula.

    Flush the remaining formula with warm or cold water and rinse it down the drain. Wait for the water to rinse.

Tips & Warnings
  • This is only for gunge clogs. Not physical clogs.
  • Don't use hot water. This will cause water to overflow and make a mess.
