How to Make Cake with Jiffy Cake Mix
Jiffy cake mixes are produced and distributed by Chelsea Milling Co. in Chelsea, Michigan. Things You'll Need
- Mixing bowl
- Whisk or electric mixer
- Box of Jiffy cake mix
- Water
- Egg
- Cake pans (8-inch round pan, 9-inch round pan, or 8-inch square pan)
- Frosting (optional)

Preheat oven to temperature indicated on box.

Grease and flour pan.

Measure out the amount of water you need. Allow egg to sit out until room temperature for easier mixing. The Jiffy white cake mix calls for one egg white instead of the whole egg.

Mix together cake mix, water and egg (or egg white) in a mixing bowl using a whisk or electric mixer. Mix until batter is smooth and ingredients are completely combined, or check box for instructions on length of mixing time.

Pour batter into cake pan.

Bake as directed on box. Make sure you have the correct baking time for the size of pan you are using.

Allow cake to cool completely before frosting. If it is frosted while still warm, it can tear.
