How to Delete Downloaded Music From a Computer
File sharing programs, such as LimeWire, and online music stores, such as Apple iStore, have made the downloading of digital media common for many computer users. As a result, your hard drive could become cluttered with downloaded music. If you need to delete some music downloads from your computer, you can do so by following a few steps.

Right click once on the Windows "Start" button and select "Explore." This will launch a separate window allowing you to search files and folders on your computer.

Use the listings under the "Folders" section to find the folder in which the downloaded files are saved. Music downloads are usually saved in a folder that is specific to the program from which it was downloaded, and usually under the "Documents" section. For example, if the files were downloaded from LimeWire, they will be stored in a LimeWire subfolder.

Click once on an individual file to select it. Select multiple files by clicking once on each file while holding down the "Control" (Ctrl) key. Select a group of files by clicking once on the first file and then once on the last file while holding down the "Shift" key.

Press the "Delete" key once to delete the selected file or files. Repeat steps 2 through 5 for each set of downloaded music files that you want to delete.
