1. Select a knit or crochet pattern for your dishcloth project.

2. Purchase cotton yarn that is produced specifically for making dishcloths. Cotton yarns can be found at stores that sell craft and yarn products.

3. Read the pattern thoroughly before you begin the project.

4. Crochet or knit the dishcloth according to the pattern. Be sure to keep a stitch count after each row that is made to ensure that the dishcloth will be even.

5. Fasten off at the end of the project if knitting or crocheting. Cut the yarn. Thread the yarn end on to a darning needle. Use the needle to weave the yarn into the dishcloth to hide it.
