How to Use the YouTube Downloader

Youtube Downloader is a program that allows you to transfer video files on YouTube to your computer. YouTube is a website that normally plays videos directly from its servers, instead of your computer. This means that you can't usually watch the videos when you aren't online. You also can't watch these videos on portable players unless you actually download the video first, and transfer it to the player.

Instructions

1. Visit a website that has a Youtube downloader available for free.

2. Click on the download links until a window pops up that has a 'Save File" button. Click on that.

3. Find the installation file once it finishes downloading. It should be in your desktop or "My Downloads" folder.

4. Activate the program once it finishes downloading; there should be a shortcut icon you can double-click on your desktop. Visit the youtube website and find a video you wish to download. Click on the web address in the text box at the very top of the window and highlight it by clicking on it.

5. Right-click on the address of your video once it's highlighted and select "Copy" among the options that are shown. Go back to your Youtube downloader window and find the text box where the address should go. Right-click on it and select "Paste." Your video address should now be in the box. Click "OK" to begin downloading the video.

• It may be illegal to download a video that is copyrighted.
