There are many reasons you might want to install RAM on a Presario notebook. In the event that a system's RAM fails or you need more power for running advanced programs, it will be necessary to replace the RAM in the Compaq system. As always when replacing RAM, you will want to ensure that the replacement modules you have will meet the specification standards for the laptop. Failure to do so can result in failure of the RAM as well as failure of the system to boot up correctly.
