How to Overburn on Nero

Nero is a versatile software suite that allows you to burn CD or DVD in audio-video formats and as a plain data disk. It also operates with CD/DVD image files and has various tools for burn tuning. Nero provides other options e.g. the design and print disc covers.

    The Steps

  1. Step 1

    Launch Nero and select the "Rip and Burn" tab. Then click on "Burn Data Disk."

  2. Step 2

    Click on "Data DVD" to open the "Disk Content" window. This window is used to add files for burning via the "Add" button with the green "+" sign.

  3. Step 3

    Find the small arrow sign located at the left edge (in the middle) of the "Disk Content" window and click on it. The window will expand.

  4. Step 4

    Click on "Options" located under the "Advanced" list on the left side of the expanded window. It would bring up the "Options" window.

  5. Step 5

    Select the "Expert Features" tab in the "Options" window.

  6. Step 6

    Check the box "Enable DVD overburning" and enter maximum DVD size in Mb (e.g. 4,600) in the corresponding field. Click "OK." It activates the overburning option.
