Flash 8.0 is a Macromedia graphics program used to produce high-quality animations for websites. Like previous versions of Flash, 8.0 was given a few program upgrades to make creating animated content even easier for users. Flash is still a challenging program to learn, though, with lots of advanced features to master. Beginners should take the time to learn a few of the ins and outs of the program before they get started with creating Flash animations.

    The Steps

  1. Step 1

    Check out the Entheos Free Resources site. The Entheos site offers resources and tutorials for all Adobe and Macromedia products, including Flash 8.0.

  2. Step 2

    Explore the Lynda Online Training Library. Lynda.com offers training courses in a number of popular computer programs and softwares. The "Flash Professional 8 Essential Training" course takes users through all of the basics of Flash 8 with a video tutorial broken up into dozens of short lessons.

  3. Step 3

    Take the Baycon Group's "Flash Professional 8 Tutorial". The tutorial is divided into sections, such as "Getting Started" and "Movie Properties." Each section of the tutorial is a combination of text and graphics that illustrate key elements of the program.

  4. Step 4

    Go to Brainbell. Brainbell is an IT training site that has lots of free tutorials. The Flash 8 tutorial on Brainbell is a beginner's tutorial perfect for those just starting out.

  5. Step 5

    Work through the Flash 8 tutorial on TeacherClick. This intensive tutorial is 18 units and covers everything you need to know to create your first Flash 8 project.
