How to Convert Punk-O-Matic Into MP3 Format
Punk-o-matic is a revolutionary music gaming site that allows users to sign on, set up beats for drums, guitar and bass, and watch a virtual band play the music. If you produce a song that's worth sharing, you can save your Punk-o-matic creation as code and share it with other Punk-o-matic users. It's even possible to keep a copy of your work in MP3 form. Punk-o-matic has developed its own converter that makes it possible to convert Punk-o-matic code into MP3 format.

Download the Punk-o-matic MP3 Converter. The converter is available for download under the "Goodies!" section of the Punk-o-matic site. (See "Additional Resources," below.)

Install the Punk-o-matic MP3 Converter to your computer and open the program. The downloaded file will be a zip file. When you click on the icon to open the Punk-o-matic file, you will be given the option to unzip. Once you have unzipped the file, the unzipped folder will be available in the same folder in which your zipped file is located. Open the folder and double-click "POMConverter" to open the program.

Copy the code of the Punk-o-matic song that you want to convert. Punk-o-matic code will be a series of numbers and dashes. Make sure that you get the entire code or your MP3 will not convert correctly.

Paste the song code into the Punk-o-matic MP3 Converter. There is only one box on the converter. It is labeled "Song Data." This is where the code should be pasted.

Click "Convert." While the song is converting to MP3, the "Convert" button will change to say "Converting" and will become inactive. When the MP3 has been created, the button will change back to "Convert" and will once again be clickable. The MP3 audio file created will be stored in the "Exported Song" folder under the Punk-o-matic MP3 Converter folder.
