- Bread machine 3¼ cups bread flour 2 tbsp. nonfat dry milk 1 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. granulated white sugar ¼ cup instant mashed potato flakes 1... cups water 2 tbsp. butter 1½ tsp. active dry yeast

Measuring the dry ingredients carefully, add to the bread machine pan 3¼ cups bread flour, 2 tbsp. nonfat dry milk, 1 tsp. salt, 2 tbsp. granulated white sugar, and ¼ cup instant mashed potato flakes.

Add 1... cups water and 2 tbsp. butter.

Close the bread machine's lid. Add 1½ tsp. active dry yeast to the yeast dispenser.

Set the machine to the rapid bake cycle if that option is available to you, and choose settings for a large white loaf with a light or medium crust. Start your bread machine.

Remove the bread from the machine according to the manufacturer's instructions. Cool the loaf on a wire rack for an hour or so before you slice it. Store it for up to five days in a plastic bag, either at room temperature or in the refrigerator.
