Things You'll Need:
- vanilla cake mix
- vanilla pudding 6-pack
- 3-4 bananas
- whip cream
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
-
Step 1
Bake the vanilla cake, following the directions on the box. It is best to use a regular cake pan (as you will need to cut the cake into cubes), but any cake pan (bundt, et cetera) will do.
-
Step 2
Cut up the bananas. Put the contents of the vanilla pudding cups into a blender. You can also make your own vanilla pudding with instant pudding mix, instead, if you don't mind spending more time on the recipe. Cut up about 2 bananas and add them to the blender. Add the 1 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract. Mix until completely blended and smooth.
-
Step 3
Cut up 1-2 more bananas and add to the mixture, but do not blend; simply fold them into the banana-pudding blend. You may cover this mixture and place it in the fridge until the cake has finished baking & cooling.
-
Step 4
When the cake has completely cooled, cut it up into small, 1-inch cubes. In a serving bowl or parfait glass, assemble the dessert, starting with the cake cubes, then following with the banana-pudding mixture, and then finally with whip cream. Repeat until the bowl or glass is filled, finishing with a glop of pudding mixture and topping with whip cream. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
