There's a new trend in town and it's all about being you....naturally. No more processing, no more hot curling irons, and the freedom to sleep comfortably.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Haircut
  • Texturizer (Optional)
  • Confidence
  1. Step 1
    Let it Go!
    Let it Go!

Let it go and get a haircut! It's summer time and it's a great time for a change. Most times your hair could really use a haircut anyway to eliminate some change of weather shedding and to help it grow! So why not go ahead and just get it done?

  2. Step 2

Pick a Beautician! Pick somebody that you trust or who has a good reputation cutting hair. You want someone who will cut all of the permed hair out without leaving you completely bald (unless that's what you want). If you had short hair to begin with, the best thing to do is let it grow out a little without perming it so that you can have some new growth to work with. For long hair there shouldn't be much of an issue.

  3. Step 3
    CURLS!!
    CURLS!!

Now that you've gotten your hair cut. Decide whether you want to go all natural or do you want a little help along the way. A texturizer is a great way to get that all natural feel with a little edge. It's especially great for those of us with thick or course hair. It makes your hair manageable and easy to fix. All you need to do is add water (or your favorite cream moisturizer). The texturizer enhances your natural texture and curls.

  4. Step 4
    Swagg!
    Swagg!

Be confident! Enjoy your new look. It's not exactly mainstream but it's definitely beautiful. It feels great and it's very sophisticated. You can still braid it up or wear it "down" but either way you're set with an easy and stylish hairdo that just says: "You!" Wearing natural hair whether long or short requires confidence but once you've got it FLAUNT IT!

Tips & Warnings
  • Be sure to have some moisturizers on hand. Moisture is your hair's best friend.
  • Look for moisturizers that are not to thick or heavy because this will gunk up your follicles and cause your hair not to grow.
  • Braids really help your hair grow!
  • Be ready for a change!
  • Keep your hair moisturized!
