Step 1

A 7 or 8 inch frame is great for desktop in an office or any other table top, 9, 10, or 12 or bigger frames for hanging on walls. Remember that digital frames hung on walls will need a power source.

Consider the Quality of the LCD Screen. How you digital pictures display ultimately most important. Choose a frame that has at least 480 x 264 resolution if 7 or 8 inches, 600 x 480 if 9 inches, and 800 x 600 if larger than that. Also, a 4:3 aspect ration is best. If you can physically look at the displays, see how crisp and clear you pictures display on the screens.

Digital Picture Frames receive pictures using ports that accept a memory device, such as an SD memory card, memory stick, or USB flash drive. If you plan to transfer pictures to you computer before your digital frame, make sure the digital photo frame you choose accepts the cable that connects from your computer. These are great features, but generally personal preferences and 'nice to haves' so make them part of your decision but not the main focus.
