Here are some weight loss tips for how to get rid of belly fat.

  1. Step 1

    Eat raw vegetables in bulk. Include broccoli, cauliflower, celery, carrots, and other roughage in your diet on a daily basis. These foods should make up the majority of your overall food consumption. Vegetables contain fiber which aids the colon in elimination.

  2. Step 2

    Fill up on citrus fruits. Eat grapefruits, oranges, lemons and other citrus fruits to your diet. Citrus helps to increase metabolism and has some fat burning effects. Eat hot foods to get rid of belly fat as well. Add tobasco or chili powder to foods to increase thermogenic effects.

  3. Step 3

    Drink ice water to lose a fat belly and experience fast fat loss. Because the body works to bring the ice water to core temperature, it causes a temporary increase in metabolism. Drink at least 60 to 80 ounces of water daily to increase belly fat loss.

  4. Step 4

    Take supplements that contain fat burners such as chromium, creatine, glutamine and arginine. All of these supplements work to eliminate body fat. In addition, increase your intake of protein and decrease carbohydrates to burn stomach fat. Carbohydrates are stored as fat and can contribute to bloating. Protein is more likely to be converted into muscle.

  5. Step 5

    Reduce calorie intake to lose weight quickly. To lose a pound of fat you need to burn about 3500 calories. Cut out 500 to 1000 calorie per day to experience fast fat loss. Eat several times a day to increase metabolism, and keep track of calories and fat intake.

  6. Step 6

    Eliminate all saturated fat from your diet. Foods such as cookies and candy will go directly to fat stores.

  7. Step 7

    Do aerobic exercise. Jogging, running, walking, elliptical training, aerobic classes and any exercise that you do with intensity will burn belly fat. Stay as active as possible to lose belly fat.
