Boil Eggs in a Microwave
Boil Eggs in a Microwave

Boiling eggs in a Microwave is easier and quicker than one may think. Eggs hard boiled in the microwave are done sooner then when boiled on the stove top.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Eggs
  • Microwave safe bowl
  • Water
  • Microwave Oven
  1. Step 1

Place your eggs in the microwave safe bowl. I used three eggs in this hard boiled egg microwave recipe.

  2. Step 2

Add water to the bowl. Add enough water allow the eggs to become completely submersed under water.

  3. Step 3

Place the microwave safe bowl in the microwave oven. Cook the eggs on normal settings for 4 minutes depending on your microwave oven itself. Some microwaves cook hotter than others. Just make sure your water comes to a complete boil.

  4. Step 4

Let the hard boiled eggs sit in the water for at least 4 to 5 minutes. Be careful not to touch the water or eggs right after boiling them. The water and eggs will be very hot and could cause injury.

  5. Step 5

Rinse the boiled eggs with cold water to cool the eggs. Now enjoy your nice boiled egg that you microwaved. Try the egg with some salt and pepper for seasonings.

Tips & Warnings
  • Letting the eggs boil to long could cause discoloration of the yolk.
  • Eggs will be very hot
