Step 1
Take care of athlete's foot first. If you know you have it, buy some athlete's foot spray, and follow the directions on the can. If you are unsure, you should consult your doctor if you're not sure how to take care of the problem.
-
Step 2
Keep your feet clean. Shower or bath every day, and wear clean socks and shoes as well. Clean the bottom of your bath or shower before and after showering to prevent the spread of athlete's foot.
-
Step 3
Keep your feet dry. After showering, make sure you dry your feet really well, especially between your toes. If you wear socks, choose something made from a natural fabric, synthetics don't absorb moisture as well. You can use deodorant on your feet too, there are foot deodorant sprays, or just use a regular spray deodorant.

on 7/5/2009 There are the things I keep telling my hub...... clean feet is the first and best way to stop stinky feet! Go barefoot and let them dry out, too!

on 7/3/2009 I want to add, if your partner has Athlete's Foot, and you have chronic yeast infections, they need to be treated or your infection will never stop. You'll keep reinfecting each other. Severe cases under the nails are probably in the blood and need Rx pills to treat. You can put a teaspoon of powdered clay in your socks to keep your feet dry and smell-free.

on 7/3/2009 Good topic. Stinky feet are rarely healthy. Not many people know that what causes Athlete's Foot also can cause diaper rash and yeast infections. So anyone with stinky feet should not share a shower or bath with anyone at home without disinfecting with bleach in between.
