Sell Your Antiques Online

Selling your antiques online is a great way to make a quick profit. Selling your antiques online is an easy task to accomplish if you know the right steps to take.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer
  • Internet Access
  • Paypal
  • Bank Account
  • Antiques
  • Shipping Materials
  1. Step 1

First your going to want to get access to a computer that's connected to the Internet.

  2. Step 2

Next, gather together all of the antiques you want to sell online. Make a list or inventory of all your antiques. Making a list/inventory will help you keep up with your antique listings.

  3. Step 3

Once you've gathered together your antiques and made an inventory list you can then proceed to find companies/sites that will let you list your antiques online. Sites such as oldandsold.com and eBay will let you list your antiques. When listing your antiques on eBay you will have to pay a small fee. Oldandsold.com however currently charges nothing to list your antique. Before you can list your antique on one of these sites you must first register with them. They'll want your basic information such as name, address, email, bank information(eBay), paypal email, etc.

  4. Step 4

After you've registered with one of the above mentioned companies/sites you will then need to check in with the site every now and again to see if your antique has sold. Usually you'll get an email once your antique sells, but just to be on the safe side be sure to check your listing/account reguarly to see if your antique has indeed sold.

  5. Step 5

Once your antique has sold online be sure to ship it accordingly. You'll usually have a few days, give or take, to ship your antique. Make sure you purchase sturdy shipping materials as you don't want your antique to get lost or damaged through the mail.

Tips & Warnings
  • List your item on different sites, preferably ones that don't charge a fee to list. Listing your antique on different sites will allow you to sell your antique faster.
  • Once your antique is sold don't ship it in flimsy shipping materials. Always be sure to get shipping insurance on your antique, so that if something does happen to it through the mail (if it's damaged or lost), you'll get your money back.
