Wanting help: The addict must want to help. No one can stop your addiction but the addict. They must make a decision to get help!

Making the decision: In order to stop addiction, the addict has to to make the decision that they are tired of their addiction. They must get help as a favor to no one other than themselves.

Drug Rehab: Often an addiction need the help of rehab to stop and addiction. Find a drug rehab facility to address the drug abuse. In rehab the addict will explore the root causes of your addiction.

Change of environment: In order to stop an addiction, the addict needs to change their environment. Create a addiction proof environment. Avoid, people places and things that may trigger the desire to use.

Making restitution: The addict must to forgive and make restitution if possible. Eventually, the addict will need to ask their forgiveness for things that they did while in addiction.

Stay connected with support: In order to break an addiction, the addict needs to stay connected to their support system.

Prayer: Praying will help the addict reconnect with a God and bring spiritual healing.
