This Red White and Blue Cake is a great easy dessert for summer parties and picnics. Be the one to arrive with this delicious treat.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 qt whole strawberries, cut in half
  • 1 1/c cup blueberries
  • 1 cup Whipped Topping
  • 2 pkgs Cream Cheese Softened
  • 1/4 Cup Sugar
  • 13" x 9" baking dish
  1. Step 1

    Bake cake according to package directions in a 13" X 9" dish. Allow to cool. Do not remove the cake from the pan.

  2. Step 2

    Use a wire whisk and in a separate bowl, combine Cream Cheese and Sugar. Beat mixture until Smooth.

  3. Step 3

    Stir whipped topping into cream cheese mixture. When mixing is done, spread evenly over cake in the pan. No stealing!

  4. Step 4

    Arrange blueberries as the star field and strawberry halves as stripes to create an American flag on the cake top.

  5. Step 5

    * Use the berries any design on the cake.
    * Add the berries just before serving to keep them fresh.
    * This cake is great for all kinds of summer picnics.
    * Alter the fruit decorations for other holidays.
    * Don't forget to let your spouse lick the bowls.
