Step 1
Try to stop worrying about what others might think of you. Nothing undermines one's confidence more than looking for approval from everyone else. And confidence is crucial to feeling masculine.
-
Step 2
Relax and be yourself. Do what you want for a change without worrying about having to act macho or masculine. The less you worry about having to act a certain way, the more confident and masculine you will appear.
-
Step 3
Learn to laugh at yourself. Don't get defensive when someone teases you. Defensive translates as insecure, but laughing at yourself takes some guts.
-
Step 4
Since it's hard to change your mindset instantly, start by taking small steps towards improving your confidence. For instance, you could get a funny t-shirt, which will make it clear that you don't take yourself all that seriously, and therefore are pretty confident. It will help you learn to laugh at yourself and not worry about what others might think of you.
-
Step 5
Finally, always remember to relax and be yourself. It's not what you do or what you wear that defines your masculinity, but rather how confident you are, is what really matters.

on 10/5/2009 It is sad that there are men out there who are insecure with masculinity. It is a waste of time in my opinion. There are not any guidelines to live by with gender
